This document was designed to put into use the affective and cognitive skills necessary to the development of critical thinking. Exercises get students to think independently and intelligently, to form their opinions, to generate solutions, and to clarify their thinking using the appropriate vocabulary. It also encourages them to define their values and develop their integrity through discussion and debates. All themes from the high school ethics programme are covered: liberty, autonomy, social order, tolerance, justice, human ambivalence as well as the future of humanity.
