Jessica is starting over at a new high school for the thousandth time. Roxane and her friends let her know, in a rude way, that she is not welcome. Misunderstood at home, pushed around at school, Jess loses her balance and falls, like a ripe fruit, into the hands of Freeze, the local thug. To what point will she let herself be manipulated? Will she regain her dream that has gone up in smoke? What does Dave, the mysterious fifth grader, want from her? It’s a play full of twists and turns featuring characters that students can recognize and employing a self-questioning that moves them.
